A Big Day

It's a big day tomorrow- an important day, a day that will stop a nation and have millions glued to their TVs and radios, hearts in their mouths, holding their breath as they wait to see who'll be first past the post.

Yep, it's the Melbourne Cup.

R probably won't be listening (he's a conscientious objector to horse racing) but I'll be watching Zipping, Nom de Jeu, Septimus (might be carrying too much weight) and the sentimental pick, Moatize, for the female jockey factor.

Oh, and apparently there's some election happening in the US, too...
